Esoctrilihum’s Almost Dead popped up in my feed and immediately impressed me—it had no right being this good. The album is just two tracks: the first is a mellow, atmospheric instrumental, but the second, “Delirium Psychosis,” hit hard enough to send me digging through what turns out to be an endless catalog from Esoctrilihum and related projects.
While exploring older albums, I realized a few tracks had already snuck into my ‘liked’ playlist. The album covers jogged my memory—there’s a ton of great art across these releases—but I hadn’t really paid attention to the band until now. @Asthâghul, you’re absolutely killing it. I just hope you’re not almost dead.
When I say the back catalog is massive, I mean massive. Even the internet can’t keep up—some releases are on YouTube Music, others on Bandcamp, and a few are even missing from Metal Archives (my usual go-to for stalking great musicians).
This latest release isn’t just raw, fast, and ridiculously heavy—it’s weird in the best way possible. It amps me up, and the best part is knowing there’s still hours of older material waiting for me to sit down and listen to.
